Our Founder

Lane W. Kirkpatrick is President, CEO, and majority stockholder of Kirkpatrick & Associates, Inc. (K&A), a management consulting and executive search firm which he founded in 1990. Lane's business expertise is derived from corporate senior executive positions and helping K&A's domestic and global clients to develop their strategic and business plans, to improve their business and marketing strategies, to identify and evaluate partners and divestiture, joint venture and acquisition candidates and to restructure their organizations.

Since founding K&A, he and his associates have conducted over 100 management consulting and senior staffing engagements for the world's largest service firms and Fortune 500 Companies. These clients include the leading global automation, energy and engineering companies and the leading manufacturing and enterprise software companies. Clients include such companies as ABB, AspenTech, AT&T, Bell Atlantic, Blockbuster Entertainment, CAP Gemini, Chase Manhattan, EDS, Emerson, Foxboro, General Mills, Goldman Sachs, Halliburton KBR, Honeywell, Hughes, HyproTech, IBM, J.D. Edwards, MCI Systemhouse, Pepsico, Perot Systems, PRC, Public Service Company of NM, Rockwell International, SAP, Siemens, Transcrypt International, Westinghouse and Wizdom Systems.

Prior to founding K&A, Lane served as Vice President and General Manager of environmental, advanced automation and system integration businesses for several Fortune 500 companies, namely GCA, Foxboro and BDM. He has been the senior executive in charge of worldwide strategic planning and marketing for Foxboro, and for the advanced production technologies business unit of Westinghouse. He has 30 years of experience serving a spectrum of globally positioned commercial and government clients.

Lane has served on several civic and professional society boards, been invited to speak before Congressional Committees and the Conference Board, and has several published papers and presentations on the subject of strategic planning, systems integration and environmental management. Recently, Lane was inducted into the Kappa Sigma Hall of Fame.

He holds multiple degrees from the University of Washington and has completed advanced courses and programs at the University of Southern California and the Harvard Business School.
